After you finish draining the oil screw the drainage bolt back but be careful do not over tighten it or you will break it and if that happens you will have the expensive repair on the hands if you are not sure how much to tighten you can use torque wrench they are not expensive.
Depending on a pit bike model you have you could need anywhere from ml to ml, so you should always start with a smaller amount around ml to ml add more as needed and check your dipstick,. Also, you should probably change the oil that you got with your new pit bike especially chines ones like from Lifan engines.
If your pit bike has oil filter you will probably have two options for buying: paper or steel oil filters. Paper oil filters are good but they are for single use so you need to replace them and buy a new one almost everytime after you change your oil its recommended but not a must. Generally adding pit bike oil cooler is not needed, but it can be useful if you are doing prolonged high speeds like endurance race or trail riding.
You can put the oil cooler on any pit bike engine from small 50cc to cc, you will probably just need an adapter if you want to put it on cc or smaller pit bikes. Also had to bend rear brake pedel a bit for a better fit. Wiring was pretty staight forward, while I had no diagram the colours are very similiar. Fit a clutch perch, lever and cable. The top off the stock Postie carby fitted the Lifan carby, so just changed the slide and used the stock Postie throttle cable etc.
Just need an exhaust to finish. I know the pit bike exhaust I'll have to buy will need a bit of cut and shut to clear the frame down rails. My mate in the railways should do that easy. That's one sweet looking unit Kipo, well done! Let us know how it goes. Google says ml Originally posted by v8r View Post. Originally posted by baz View Post. Last edited by Kipo ; , PM.
